Camera Shots

I love the summer! It gives me time to spend with J and K that I don't have during the school year. It was a beautiful day today and I forced them to go outside. Of course, before going out I grabbed the camera to practice taking pictures and get some cute shots of the kids. What I did not anticipate was J picking up the camera to take pictures to. Now to say I panicked was an understatement, however, as you can see he is pretty good! I got a rare shot of K and I because he took it. Guess who gets my old camera??

I can't believe how much he has grown-up.
I managed to get a great shot of him by standing on the new swingset. Yep, it's tough enough to hold even me. (He does love the camera.)
I also wanted to remind everyone that the cookout is next weekend, August 16th. There will be lots of food - yes I am making Norna's baked beans. Jamie, I am also making your hot dip. Jenn don't forget the deviled eggs if you know what is good for you. Hope to see you all there!

I'm Back

I created this blog a year ago and just did not keep up with it. I actually need to figure completing this blog into my busy schedule. This blog is being done so that you all can keep up with the family and all their little antics. It's also a great way to show off my new camera and the skills that I am learning. I hope that you all enjoy the site and send me some feedback on what you think.

Trip to Oregon

K and I had the pleasure of traveling out to Oregon last week. We went out to see Papa ( my grandfather). It was a really good trip with the exception of the cold air temperatures. The nights went down into the 50's while the daytime could not seem to climb out of the high 70's to low 80's. While most of you may think that this would be great weather - to me it just seemed too much like fall. It was especially hard going to the coast at 11:30 in the morning and getting there only to realize that you need jeans and a sweatshirt. Give me New England.....

K did such a good job on the plane (8 hour ride) that other passengers did not even know that she was sitting there.

Thought that I would share a few pictures from our travels out there......

Beaching It

The weather was so nice yesterday we could not help but to go out to the beach with Auntie Jodie. We spent most of the day there and had fun just playing in the waves and building sandcastles. They already told me they want to return again next week. How can I say no...
